About us
We are the Bonačić-Vičić family, an old lineage from the island of Brač, with roots going back over 350 years in this very house on the waterfront, in the heart of Milna – just two steps from the sea and ACI Marina Milna. Here, we warmly welcome our guests all year round. In our cozy tavern and charming hotel, every bite and every moment of your stay shares the story of our island’s rich tradition and the spirit of our home.

A Love for Cooking and a Family Calling

We welcomed our first guests into our seafront home in Milna 30 years ago, when we also opened our family-run restaurant. We started modestly, but with unity, love, and enthusiasm. Over the years, our heartfelt welcome has been recognized by many satisfied guests who return to us faithfully, year after year.
Today, Vicko, Niki and Juraj the three Bonačić-Vičić brothers, manage our family business with the constant support and watchful eye of their parents. They ensure every dish coming from the pot, grill, or wood-fired oven is of the highest quality. When you visit us, at least one of the three will be there to welcome and serve you.
Honoring Tradition in Every Dish
Throughout all the decades and generations, one thing has never changed – our commitment to tradition and preparing food the old-school way, using only local ingredients.
For example, we make our own lasagna dough using an old family recipe. The fish, shellfish, and seafood come from our Adriatic Sea aquatorium and are sourced from our friends, longtime local fishermen from the island of Brač. Our lamb also comes from Brač, as do the cheese and vegetables, which come from Brač farms—or from the Dalmatian inland.
One of the key flavors in our dishes and pizzas comes from Brač oak wood, which we use for grilling.
A Place Where You Can Enjoy Great Food and Sleep to the Sound of Sails
In our house, which was completely renovated in 2007, there is also our hotel. The hotel has nine rooms, each offering stunning views of the sea and the sails arriving at and departing from ACI Marina Milna.
We are happy and proud that even today, after all these years, people come to our home in the heart of Milna seeking the perfect and relaxing seaside vacation, accompanied by quality homemade food with a taste of tradition.
